Palbit achieves ISO 56001 certification
Palbit leads the way in innovation management in Portugal
Palbit has officially obtained ISO 56001:2024 certification – the recently established international standard for Innovation Management Systems. As one of the first companies in Portugal to achieve this distinction, Palbit reinforces its strategic commitment to sustainable, structured and value-driven innovation.
This certification, issued by APCER, aligns innovation practices with the highest global standards, ensuring that processes, culture and leadership across the company support a long-term innovation strategy.
It is important to note that, even before the certification process began, Palbit had already invested in the development of its teams, promoting in-house training in ISO 56001 to ensure that the principles of innovation were fully embedded in the organisation’s DNA from the outset.
With ISO 56001, Palbit further strengthens its ability to anticipate market needs, manage uncertainty and transform technological know-how into competitive industrial solutions.
"Innovation is, in fact, a crucial part of PALBIT’s overall strategy! We have always believed that innovation must be measurable, replicable and integrated into our culture. This certification proves that our approach is not only consistent but also globally recognised."
— Daniel Figueiredo, Member of the Executive Board at Palbit.
The ISO 56001:2024 standard sets out the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an innovation management system. It enables organisations to adopt a systematic approach to innovation, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and sustainable value creation.
Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), it is aligned with other widely adopted management standards, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, facilitating its integration into existing systems.
