University of Vigo Student Completes Engineering Placement at Palbit

Palbit Welcomes Engineering Student for an International Academic Programme

For four weeks, Palbit welcomed Miguel Moledo Paredes, an engineering student from the University of Vigo (Spain), as part of an international academic programme.

Working alongside Palbit's engineering team, Miguel followed the development, manufacturing and validation of prototype cutting tools for titanium machining, designed for aerospace applications.

Learning through real industrial experience

At Palbit, we believe engineering is best learned by combining academic knowledge with real manufacturing experience.

During the programme, Miguel took part in daily engineering discussions, observed how design choices are adjusted once they meet the realities of manufacturing, and followed the testing stages that determine whether a prototype is ready to move forward.

Experiencing an industrial environment firsthand allows students to better understand engineering processes, manufacturing technologies and the importance of precision in demanding industrial applications.

Investing in the next generation of engineer

Programmes of this kind reflect a broader commitment at Palbit to supporting engineering education and building lasting relationships with universities. By opening its facilities to students, the company contributes to the training of future engineers while gaining fresh perspectives from those entering the field.

Collaborations like this create valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, develop technical skills and build relationships between industry and higher education, while contributing to the professional growth of future engineers.

As a company operating in global markets, Palbit values initiatives that promote international cooperation and encourage new perspectives within engineering and manufacturing.
