Objectives and expected outcomes

Hi-rEV aims to position the national automotive cluster within the global value chains of the car of the future by mobilising the industry around the development, testing and demonstration of new technologies, processes and next-generation products. It aims to:

Develop, test and demonstrate new technologies, methodologies and processes for the digital transformation of the national automotive cluster within the context of Industry 4.0.
Develop, test and demonstrate new materials and processes in core areas of the national automotive cluster, namely interiors and structures.
Equip the industry with new skills in the areas of connectivity, product-factory relationships and product-as-a-service.
To develop, test and demonstrate new concepts and new approaches to product development and validation, taking into account trends in connected, electric and autonomous vehicles.

Palbit, S.A.’s participation is aimed at developing high-performance coated cutting tools (advanced tools for cutting metal products).
